Jeffrey Bischoff is President and Founder of Old Greenwich Consultants, a retained search firm focused exclusively on the Private Wealth Management sector. With over 20 years of experience in executive recruitment in the financial services industry, Jeff has established extensive contacts on both the corporate and candidate sides throughout the United States.
Jeff co-partnered a privately owned executive search business in lower Manhattan. He and his partner grew the business and later sold it to Oppenheimer & Co., headquartered in New York, a private investment and brokerage firm with over 600 advisors. As part of the transaction, Jeff agreed to head up regional recruiting for OpCo and relocated to Chicago. After successfully completing that initiative, Jeff then relocated to Los Angeles where he oversaw OpCo’s west coast talent acquisition and new branch expansion. During his tenure with OpCo, Jeff and his team assisted the firm in establishing and staffing new offices in St. Louis, San Francisco, Newport Beach and Boston.
Joining Smith Barney in 1999 as the Western Divisional Recruiting Officer, Jeff was responsible for recruitment for Smith Barney’s 110 branch offices west of the Rockies. After 8 years with Smith Barney, Jeff went to UBS as National Head of Recruiting for their Private Wealth Management and Private Bank Divisions. Over the next two plus years, Jeff helped UBS open new PWM offices in 8 national market hubs before leaving in June of 2009 to establish his own search firm.
Jeff is a co-founder board member of the “Friends of Eric Sloane Museum” in Kent, Ct. He graduated from Villanova University, and currently resides in Connecticut with his wife and two children.
Bill is currently the President and CEO of Willis Consulting. His duties include setting the strategy, vision, culture and direction of the company to ensure success; manage the company’s capital, initiate partnerships, and hire senior management to steer the company accordingly. He Serves as a member of OnWallStreet’s Recruiter Roundtable.
Bill founded Willis Consulting, Inc. in 2000 after 25 successful years in the securities industry. He managed a complex of offices for Merrill Lynch in Southern California for a number of years and prior to that had leadership roles at Sutro and Prudential Securities in Tucson, San Antonio, Chicago and New York.
Bill is the author of numerous articles published in premier trade journals and writes a regular column for OnWallStreet. He is frequently interviewed by financial service media regarding current trends within the industry. Bill and his wife, Karen reside in Ranch Palos Verdes, CA, and have three sons, one who has a successful career in the financial service industry, and two who are attending college.
